These small trips might sound like a picnic to many but they are a great experience if you remove a little time and explore these places. Nowadays Low-price Hajj and Umrah Packages with the best possible services to the pilgrims are in most demand. With these Packages, you can save a considerable amount of money to explore and make the best of your trip

There are many places around Makkah to explore during your travel. Below is a list of these places that you can not afford to miss!

1. Factory of Kiswah at Umm Al-Jud:

The Kaaba has a long history of being covered and adorned. The Kiswah (the cloth that covers the Holy Kaaba) is a highly respected cloth in the Holy Mosque and by all Muslims. Every year the Kaaba Kiswa is replaced. The used fabric is carefully sectioned to create gifts for dignitaries and world leaders. Kiswah has gone through many changes in the past due to economic and social factors. The famous factory where the Kaaba Kiswa is produced is about a 17 km drive west of central Makkah. The Kiswah Al Kaaba factory has been making the Kiswah for almost 45 years and is owned and run by the Saudi Arabian government.

It takes a whole year to produce the cover; six to eight months of that is taken up for embroidery alone. Discover how more than 100 workers transform 670kg of pure silk into the Kiswa at the factory. Visitors are welcome to see the artisans at work from 9 am to noon on Saturdays, Mondays, and Wednesdays.

2. Al Wahba Crater:

Its unique place in Makkah, the crater is around 250 km from Jeddah. The 1-mile-long crater is surrounded by 900-foot rugged cliffs. It was once a place for volcanic activities that now turned into a trekking zone. The lunar-like landscape offers a magnificent experience for those who come to climb it – The eye-catching views over the desert from the crater’s rim. But as wonderful as the views are from above, the real magic happens when you climb down into the heart of the crater. In the centre of the bowl of the crater, you’ll find white sodium phosphate crystals that glitter. This salt bed transforms into a pearly lake whenever rainwater collects in the hollow, surrounded by the shrubs and palms that circle the crater’s rim making it look magnificent. A dried lava field creates a beautiful view from the northern edge of the hollow. There is a mosque at the end of the entrance road and also upgraded picnic shelters around the rim.

3. Auction House Makkah:

Located in the Hilton Tower, Makkah Auction House is a worth visiting place in the city. Here you can see ancient gems, unique artefacts, and many other fascinating and interesting things. This Auction House gives you the feel of a shopping centre where you can see people bidding on beguiling things.

It is one of the best and most famous fried chicken in Mecca and Medina and one of all Hajjis favourites. It has been situated on the outside of the Haram Shareef for a very long time. The spices are very authentic. The portion is big with reasonable prices. It is a must-visit!

6. Makkah Clock Tower Museum

The museum is very well organized and spread over 4 floors and has a cost of 150 riyals. Spend some time looking at the exhibit about our universe, sun, moon, earth, time, and the construction of the clock tower but the highlight is the most gorgeous view of the Holy Kaabah and encircling areas. Viewing the gallery with a 360-degree view of Makkah at the highest point and a Bird's Eye View of the Kaba is definitely worth it.

Plan your visit to this place around an hour or more before Maghrib (sunset). Then head on to the outdoor terrace where you can view the whole city of Mecca.
